Wine Dinner

The upcoming exquisite wine dinner offers elegant wines and delectable cuisine - the result of an inspired collaboration between our Head Sommelier, François Belin, and our Head Chef Justin Kett.

The experience begins at 7.00pm with an aperitif and canapés in the lounge. This will be followed by a three-course dinner served at 7.30pm with a new wine to match each course of the dinner, expertly designed to perfectly complement.

Culinary Masterclasses

If you want to pick up tips and new culinary skills then why not join one of our culinary classes Arrive at 10.30am for coffee and homemade biscuits and meet our head Chef Justin Kett, who will give an inspirational cookery class complete with recipes and taste samplings. This will be followed with a two course lunch and a glass of wine and coffee for just £35.95 per person.

Lavenham Literary Festival

15th November

We are really excited to welcome in our village the former Poet Laureate, Sir Andrew Motion, who will open the festival on Friday November 15.

Other highlights for 2013 will include authors Tracy Borman, acclaimed historian, whose latest book is due to be published just before our Festival, Tracy Chevalier, award-winning author of Girl with a Pearl Earring, whose new novel The Runaway is being published this year, Nicci French, highly successful husband-and-wife writing team, whose latest series of Frieda Klein novels is proving to be hugely popular, and Liz Trenow, local author whose first novel The Last Telegram is shortlisted for the 2013 RoNAs, presented by the Romantic Novelists’ Association. We also have a creative crime writing course with Mike Ripley, author of the award-winning Angel series of comedy thrillers, and a focus on children’s literature, linked to our Community Primary School.
