The Swan at Lavenham was a proud sponsor of the Wood Ditton Stakes at The Craven Meeting at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile racecourse on the 18th April 2013.

Top jockey Ryan Moore rode the winning horse, Ajraam (USA) to an exciting finish at the Swan Hotel’s sponsored race during the Craven Meeting held at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile racecourse.

Owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum from Sheikh Mohammed’s Godolphin Stable and trained by Charles Hills, Ajraam was always prominent throughout The Swan at Lavenham Wood Ditton Stakes. The 16/1 shot was challenged by Al Zarooni's 3/1 favourite Bustopher but seemed to find extra stamina and eventually won by three-quarters of a length.
