Lavenham's Carnival Weekend
From 27th to 30th August
Lavenham's Carnival Weekend with a 'wartime' theme and Rare Breeds Motor show.
The carnival kicks off at 12noon with a parade from the Market Square up to the playing fields behind the village church, where a great variety of fun family events will take place including donkey rides, falconry displays and a fun fair as well as refreshments and the annual rare breeds car show. This year the carnival theme is the 1940s and everyone is invited to dress in costume from the era. Entrance is £5 adults, concessions £3.50 and children under 12 years free with proceeds to local causes.
Harvest at Jimmys Farm
11-12th September
With chef demos from The Hairy Bikers, Rachel Allen, Michelin starred chef Angela Hartnett and many more.
This year's festival boast three times as many bars and food stalls, a specially chosen farmers market, some very exciting pop up restaurants and above all a laid back and relaxed atmosphere with plenty of space to roam.
