Weavers’ House Spa Director Alex Hurt asks the BIG question – What is love?

Love, such a BIG, but little word. Love actually is… all around (to quote the movie), and to be loved is truly one of life’s most precious feelings. To love yourself, can sound a little conceited, but it’s not. To be kind and honest with yourself is medicine for your soul, you need to do that, before you can give love to anyone else.

What is love? It’s the incidentals, the in-betweens, the reassurance, the support and ultimately, it’s the understanding. Being with someone that loves your mind and looks after your thoughts is one of the most important qualities to have. That balance of knowing who you are, what you need and when you need it, but without words. Or, those reassuring words… it’s okay, everything is going to be okay and that giant, wrap their arms around you, hug.

Loving your mind and feeding it with the right intentions is as important as the food you put into your body. With only 5% conscious thoughts circulating your mind, and a whopping 95% being unconscious, it’s time to wake up your inner dialogue and start being kinder to yourself. The cyclic thought patterns that plague our unconscious with worry or fear are in fact ‘fed’ by our repetitive thinking.

So, let’s love ourselves and each other and stop. Let’s focus on the good, focus on what’s right with your day, your job, your relationships. Process the positive in any situation and look for the good and the love in others.

Romance is born from pure thought. Whether it’s lavish or just plain real, it means more when someone really understands you and makes you feel special, even when you may not feel it.

At Weavers’ we will look after your thoughts and make you feel heard. It is our job to give you ‘the feel-good factor’. So, whether it’s self-love you are giving this month, or the gift of tranquillity you are giving to someone you love, we will make it count. Loving your mind means giving it time, more hush and far less rush.
