Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I bring my dog with me?
A. We welcome all well behaved dogs to The Swan, they are welcome in the Brasserie 487, the lounge, garden (season dependant) Airmen's Bar and a select number of bedrooms, for more information on our Pooch Policy, please click here.
Q. Do you have a lift?
A. Due to the age and layout of the building, we do not have a lift, it is important to note that all of our bedrooms have steps or stairs on the entrance to the room, this includes those located on the ground floor.
Q. I use a wheelchair, how accessible is The Swan?
A. We have ramps for easy access to both restaurants, The Brasserie and The Gallery, as well as the lounge and Airmen's Bar. Unfortunately due to the age of the building, we are unable to provide access to bedrooms as each room has steps into the room.
Q. Can I bring little ones?
A. Our doors are open to all, we kindly ask that if your party includes children under the age of 8, that you book a table in the Brasserie and not The Gallery.
Q. Where can I park?
A. We have two car parks reserved for guests of The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa, the first is a small car park at the rear of the hotel which operates on a first come, first serve basis, it can be accessed by turning up Lady Street, and taking the first entrance on the left. The second is located behind the East of England Co-op and can be accessed by turning off the High Street and down Hall Road, the entrance is on your left and is secured with a coded barrier. This is reserved for guests staying with us and using Weavers' House Spa. The code for the barrier will be included on your pre-stay email, and Weavers' can provide the code ahead of your visit.
If you are joining us in the restaurant, lounge or garden, you'll find on street parking around the village, as well as up on the Market Square (can be accessed via Lady Street) or, there is a larger car park at the top of Church Street at The Cock Horse Inn. We are unfortunately unable to guarantee parking and kindly ask that you respect the residents of the village by not blocking driveways or access points.
Q. Can I charge my electric car nearby?
A. There is an electric charging point a short walk away at The Cock Horse Inn. The car park can be found at the top of Church Street, CO109SA. It is important to note that The Cock Horse Inn is at the top of a hill and takes approximately 5 minutes to talk to and from.
The Swan at Lavenham is located and faces Water Street, the High Street and Lady Street, so many of our bedrooms are on the road side, if you are a particularly light sleeper, we advise you to get in touch with us and we will do our best to allocate you a room that faces the gardens.
