The iconic and historic Swan at Lavenham is delighted to host the annual dinner for the Lavenham Literary Festival once more.
We are thrilled to announce this year's guest speaker as Craig Edward Moncrieff Brown.
An English critic and satirist, Craig Brown is best known for parliamentary sketch writing, humorous articles and parodies for newspapers and magazines including The Times, the Daily Mail and Private Eye.
Craig will be talking about his popular book about The Beatles as well as a little about his new book about Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
Books and other merchandise will be available to purchase on the night should you wish to.
Booking Tickets
Tickets go on sale at midday on Monday 9th September and are available to purchase for £80 per person. Tickets include a three-course dinner in The Gallery with canapes to begin.
Due to the popularity of this event, we kindly ask that you please do not try to book tickets before this time as your booking will not be successful. To book your tickets, please email functions@theswanatlavenham.co.uk, please include details of your telephone number.
Emails will be responded to in order of receipt, we will let you know if your booking has been unsuccessful.
Tickets are limited to two tickets per booking.

Order of the evening
6:45pm - 7pm | Canapes in the lounge
7:15pm | Guests to take their seats in The Gallery (PN seating is on mixed tables)
7:30pm - 7:50pm | Christopher Garibaldi welcomes guests and introduces Craig Brown who will speak until 7:50pm
7:50pm - 9:30pm | Dinner is served with a choice of tea or coffee to finish
9:30pm - 10pm | A further talk from Craig Brown to include questions.
There will be an opportunity for book signings at the end of the evening.
